Patient Stories from the Cell Therapy Foundation

By Cell Therapy Foundation on Oct 25, 2012

The Cell Therapy Foundation is proud to bring you three success stories from three very amazing people. We hope you share these stories and help bring awareness to the power of Adult Stem Cells in the medical field.

Chip Gagnier was diagnosed with Peripheral Arterial Disease. Chip was experiencing unbearable pain in his legs and was told that the only medical option would be amputation. Chip was informed by his doctor about a stem cell transplant trial where cells would be taken from his back and injected to his leg to increase circulation, or else he would receive an inactive agent injection. At the second visit the ulcers were already shrinking, by the fifth visit they were gone. One year later, the trial code was broken, and it was learned by all that Chip indeed had receive the bone marrow-derived stem cells. Chip has regained full use of his legs, he is thankful and grateful about the treatment and hopes that these programs receive the funding they need to continue to touch people’s lives.

Traci Runge after undergoing radiation therapy and a full mastectomy was looking to undergo breast reconstruction and regain a sense of normalcy in her life. With the help of reconstruction incorporating the content of adult stem cells within her own fat, her skin became softer, more complaint and she has even regained sensation in her breasts, something that was never achievable before. Traci’s self-confidence is back and her children are glad to have their mom back.

Matt Marshall was diagnosed with a hard to treat and lethal form of Leukemia in his early 30s. Matt and his parents were taking one day at a time. He was told he needed a bone marrow transplant and his older brother was able to step in as an adult stem cell donor. Matt is now back in control of his life, he is still in full remission, he is back at work and is engaged to be married. Adult stem cell therapy has given Matt’s family, friends and Matt his life back.

We look forward to bringing you more stories of amazing individuals that have been touched by adult stem cell therapy.
